Donations to Your Library

For over 100 years the Public Library has enriched the quality of life in Sault Ste. Marie.

Your Library has been there in good times and bad, from acting as a distribution point for the needy during the depression to expanding services to children, the elderly and persons with disabilities.

Today the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library needs your help. Your voluntary donation will ensure that the Public Library will continue to respond to the needs of your family, friends and neighbours, both now, and in the future.

A generous donation from you benefits everyone in our city. It is tax deductible, and may be directed as you wish.

In Memoriam

In Memoriam donations can be made to the library in remembrance of a loved one.

A distinctive bookplate commemorating the person you have chosen to honour will be placed in the items purchased. The Library will send an acknowledgement of your gift, along with a sample of the commemorative bookplate, to the immediate family.

You will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution of $10.00 or over. For more information, please contact our Administration office at (705)759-5242 or complete a Donation Form.

Special Occasions Gift Program

The Special Occasions Gift Program offers you a unique way to honour someone special by making a gift to the Library in celebration of a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, or other special occasion.

A distinctive bookplate will be placed in the books purchased in celebration of the person you have chosen, and the honoured recipient will receive a letter acknowledging your gift.

You will receive a tax-deductive receipt for any gift over $10.  For more information, please contact our Library Administration Office at (705)759-5242, or complete a Donation Form.

Magazine Subscription Sponsorship

This program allows individuals and businesses to sponsor a magazine or newspaper subscription for the library.

Your sponsorship will be acknowledged with a distinctive bookplate that will go on the front cover of each issue of the magazine for the duration of your sponsorship.

You will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution.  To arrange for a magazine sponsorship please call the Administration office at 705-759-5242.
